Scientific Name: Micropterus salmoides (having short wings and trout-like body)

Size: 10-20 inches and 2-12 pounds.

Largemouth Bass are the most sought after game fish in Oklahoma, and they are the species most commonly stocked in farm ponds.

Largemouth Bass are very aggressive and will strike at all kinds of artificial spinners, plastic worms, jigs, topwater baits and crankbaits. The Largemouth Bass is also known as Bigmouth, Black Bass and Bucket Mouth.
