The Flight - Couples of Promise, Christian Cruise Network |
On May 8, 2003, Jennifer and David flew to Fort Lauderdale to catch the Monarch of the Seas. A mid-sized cruise ship operated by Royal Caribbean.
Due to increased security measures in the post 9-11 era, we missed our flight!!
Thanks to the knowledgable agents at the Continental check in, we flew in a few hours later to Miami.
I have never flown over the Gulf of Mexico and was impressed with the clarity of the water.
We also got to see the mouth of the Mississippi River. That was cool.
At the airport, we found the desk for the Royal Caribbean shuttle quickly and they went out of their way to try and get us to the ship as quick as possible. We made it!!
