Tigger is an exuberant, one-of-a-kind creature with the famously springy tail. He acts on every impulse, and his boisterous manner often leads him to leap before he looks.

In May, the boys and I went to Louisiana to salvage good wood from the house my grandfather built. The house was built in August 1947 from the trees he selected. The house is far beyond any repair and we had to select wood that was good for the project. The back wall had begun to colapse when we arrived due to holes in the roof, but most of the roof was usable.
Here you can see some of the process of the salvage project. All the wood removed from this house is to be used in the construction of a cabin in Arkansas.
When we were working on the house, I found a county map of the properties and who owned what in the 1940's. The digital version of that map will be made available on this page once it is ready.
