Part 4 of 5 - Tour of Necker Island owned by Sir Richard Branson from the water as well as Moskito Island and Eustatia Island.
After lunch Capt. Taiwo asked if we wanted to do some snorkeling or shopping which sounded good but to be honest I wanted to do a Bucket List activity. We were off to see "Necker Island". I know we couldn’t dock but how often do you get the opportunity to see Sir Richard Branson’s famous Private Island in person, even if it is from a boat. (I don’t have 13,000 dollars for a 3 night stay.) One of the things I loved was at the SE end of the reef, Sir Richard has planted 3 fake palm trees on this small island of sand that has collected over the reef. Some speculation as to the purpose is that it is used for navigation to alert boats of the small island. Another speculation is that it was a decoration for Larry Page, Co-founder of Google’s wedding. No matter what the reason it is a definite conversation piece.

Capt. Taiwo also took us by Branson’s 2nd Island Moskito Island where construction and improvements are underway. He also showed us Eustatia Island, locals say is owned by Google.
