| On May 8, 2003, Jennifer and David flew to Fort Lauderdale to catch the Monarch of the Seas. A mid-sized cruise ship operated by Royal Caribbean.
Due to increased security measures in the post 9-11 era, we missed our flight!!

| The Monarch of the Seas is the first ship I have ever been on for a cruise. (I was on a cruise ship in the Gulf of Finland, but it was stripped to be a ferry from Estonia to Helsinki. It wasn't very impressive.)

| On of the two best parts of the whole trip was getting to visit with Kevin Leman and hear him speak about "Sex Begins in the Kitchen".
I have a lot of respect for his 'carefree' manor and hard hitting advice for marraige.
Jennifer and I try to practice his advice as often as possible, though neither of us are perfect. |

July Vacation - Chicago Field Museum Click title to see 9 more pictures
| We spent a great day at the Chicago Field Museum. If you really want to see the museum, you must spend more than one day. On this day we saw only 9 out of the 45 exhibits.
The main reason we went was to see Sue, the newest and most complete T-rex ever found. It was VERY impressive.

| We visited Living History Farms, Just outside of Des Moines. There are 4 different eras of farming represented. The day we went was the Wheat Harvest Festival. We participated in the harvest of wheat on 2 different farms and received a great education on the history of the mid west and farming over the past 300 years.
